Mission Statement
At Grace Center, our mission is to nurture a vibrant community where relationships, cooperation, curiosity, imagination, and respect for all living things guide every interaction. We are committed to cultivating emotional awareness, connection, regulation, and gratitude in children and families. Through intentional, everyday experiences with teachers, peers, and the natural world, we provide a whole‑child, developmentally grounded education that supports infants through grade‑schoolers in growing with confidence, compassion, and a deep sense of belonging.
Vision
Our Teachers
…are unique individuals, and we are committed to understanding, appreciating, and equipping them for their work in a Christian early‑childhood ministry. Our teachers help nurture and build up the children and families in our care through compassion, guidance, and a shared commitment to the values of our faith community.
Every Child
…deserves a high‑quality, loving early learning program that supports the whole child, preparing them for each stage of development and laying a strong foundation for a successful adulthood.
Families
…are a child’s first and most important teachers, and we are honored to be invited into a relationship with them as partners in the care, guidance, and teaching of their child.
Our Community
…deserves a high‑quality early learning program that is responsive to its changing and diverse needs.
Grace Lutheran Church is an integral partner in this work, helping us provide care for every child, strengthen families, and equip our teachers through shared support, resources, and ministry.
Educational Philosophy
Grace Children’s Center believes that every child is uniquely created by God with individual gifts, talents, and abilities. Our curriculum is emergent and play‑based, allowing children to explore, discover, and develop their own passions. We support this philosophy by:
- Providing an environment that nurtures the whole child in developmentally appropriate and meaningful ways.
- Helping children experience and learn about God’s love through Jesus Christ, woven gently and naturally into daily routines.
- Encouraging the development of self‑esteem, empathy, community awareness, and a spirit of sharing.
- Fostering creativity, exploration, self‑discipline, and a lifelong love of learning.
- Partnering with parents—each child’s first teacher— to support healthy growth and development.
