What is Early Achievers?
Early Achievers is a rating system that helps learning programs offer high quality care.
Grace Children’s Center has two licensed locations, and each is rated separately by Early Achievers. Our main site (22815 24th Ave. S.) has reached Level 3, a Quality Level of Excellence! Our second location (22975 24th Ave. S.) is enrolled in Early Achievers and working toward its first rating.
Rating System
The rating system, QRIS (Quality Rating and Improvement System) is based on different sections. They rate different areas in the center that we are supposed to have and they rate it from a 1-5.
Some Examples would be:
- Meals/Snacks
- Music/Movement
- Furniture and Space
Each has a subsection on what we are supposed to be doing and if we practice them in the center/classroom.
Grace Children’s Center has been observed by the rating team from the University of Washington.
Two of our classrooms were observed by the rating team, using the Environmental Ratings Scales and CLASS (Classroom Assessment Scoring System). The toddler room and the young preschool room were chosen by random selection to be rated and they passed!

Our main site is now currently at Level 3; we achieved a Quality Level of Excellence!
We are all working together to make sure we continue providing quality care for all children and are currently working on improving our program so that we can move up to a higher level.
